Paying Too Much In Business Rates
My son owns a clothing store in town, which is run on a day to day basis by his wife. He does the majority of the paperwork and billing, while she focuses on ordering and customer service. When they were over to dinner the other night, my son began talking about how he would like to appeal their rating assessment. He feels like they are paying too much in business rates, and wants to get their rates reduced before the next period, which begins in April, I believe. As we were talking, my daughter in law mentioned how glad she was that he handles that sort of thing.
