Oh! My beloved Bedazzler. How much I love my old sewing machine and I remember how much important and useful it was to my mother. Wherever we travelled in the world, the sewing machine would always accompany us. I remember how my mother would squint to be able to concentrate better on the stitching and how we all would surround the machine and watch her doing the stitching. I had been assigned a small job on the machine by my mother, that of switching on and off a small bulb on the machine when the stitching was in progress. The lamp, when on, would throw light on the portion of cloth that was passing under the needle. That small job made me feel so important. I do have fond remembrances, of my mother working with the sewing machine, in the form of photographs. My parents are old now and have retired and so has the sewing machine. Though the machine is very old and not like the modern day sewing machines, myself and my sister often fight over the sewing machine and neither of us want the other to get the machine.
