Walkfit Orthotics TV commercials claims that their insoles ease foot and back pain, and also improve balance while walking or standing. They are touted as a preventative health aid, and claim to be the best in the business but there are no medical studies to back this claim up. Still, their products have consistently good reviews and have helped a lot of people, so I guess word of mouth advertising does a lot for this company. Once upon a time, not everybody could afford these specially made orthotics, but now this brand is sold commercially at drugstores so cost is no longer such a prohibitive factor. However, with the case of most orthotics, to have a truly correct fit they need to be prescribed by a doctor, and for those with severe pain it is advisable to go to a doctor anyway because it could be the beginning of a more serious problem. But for those of us with tired feet, it certainly would not hurt to try these insoles.
