Is it ok to cheat on your diet?
This is an age old question that people will argue until the end of time I am sure. The question is if it is ok to have cheat days while you are on a diet? I say yes it absolutely is ok. I have tried a lot of diets in my time and the one constant across all of the diets I have tried that worked is that in some way, they all allowed a cheat day where you could eat whatever you wanted (within reason). This method of dieting boosts, or shocks your metabolism into staying active. If you’re constantly on a diet and not making your metabolism work, it will stop and even what you do it on your diet will not metabolise. If you have a cheat day, your metabolism will see that it needs to metabolise the fat you ate on your cheat day and most of the time it will also begin metabolising some of the excess fat that your body is storing as well. This is a wonderful way to keep your body’s functions working properly and keep you on your way to a successful diet!
