Sciatica Therapy Using Yoga Passive Back Arch
Passive Back Arch actually helps a lot, even though technically it is more of a torso pose than a leg or buttocks pose, the kind of exercises that are usually recommended for sciatica therapy. I think it helped because by stretching out the torso muscles on the concave side of my scoliosis curve, this eliminated some of the tight muscles on the right side of my body, and as a result, decreased pressure on the nerves in my buttocks.Poses that aggravated my pain from this book were ones that stretched my leg out straight, especially when bending forward. Most of the standing poses were not good for me when I was in severe sciatic pain. Normally for many back related issues I found the One Leg Up, One Leg Down in the back care basics to be good, except for sciatic pain.
