How is Tap Water Tested For Contamination and Water Quality?

To my way of thinking, the question isn’t a matter of how, but what? Since October 1, 1999, every water utility is required to provide their customers with a detailed report showing what is in their water.home water filter systems These reports contain alarming lists of contaminants organized into a table with headings that read: Inorganic Contaminants, Radioactive Contaminants, Organic Contaminants and Disinfectants and Disinfection By-Products. With all the choices available, you may not be sure what system is best. Personally, I recommend filters based on multi-stage filtration. This state-of-the-art technology has been show to out-perform older systems like distillation and reverse osmosis. This filtration process is highly effective at protecting your family against chlorine (disinfectant), lead (inorganic contaminant), and VOCs (volatile organic chemicals).
