When you decide to invest a lot of money into say salt water species and more expensive items, you must decide what you will do in case of a electrical outage. I had a brother who had multiple tanks which housed his salt water species including an octopus who had babies. Which was so rare they wanted to come and take pictures of it. I don’t know if they mention this in books on how to set up a fish tank or not. 0ne night the electric failed at his home, and it was a long failure and they lost all of their fish due to no water filtration or air pump which means they were not able to get air from the water once the electric was out for a long time. Maybe buy a small generator just in case it happens to you.
