Project Planned in the Winter Completed in Time for Memorial Day Picnic
The deck project that I planned during the winter is almost complete. It should be ready in time for us to host a Memorial Day picnic. Things went fairly smooth, but there are always problems and delays on any remodeling project. The contractor I hired to oversee the project found excellent sub-contractors to do the concrete and electrical work. The biggest problem with the concrete was deciding which stamp pattern and color to use. My husband and I finally chose a stamp that looks like natural stone in a random pattern. The color is close to sandstone with a darker brown accent. The electrician did the wiring for the extra outlets we wanted and the patio lanterns to provide the lighting. Tomorrow I am going shopping for patio furniture and my husband says he’s seeing a travel agent about a trip to Florida next January.
