Driving Local Business With SEO
When I first came across the idea of search engine optimization, I thought it was the equivalent of search engine voodoo: you mix a couple of ingredients and perform a couple of chants then poof! You get top ten rankings.
This of course was my misconception. Running a local home inspection business kept me busy over the years and I didn’t have time to learn more about the happenings in the online world. I found out that there are hundreds of people searching for businesses like mine on the internet search engines. All I had to do was get myself in front of them to capture a slice of this massive traffic. As I interviewed a couple of local business SEO specialists, I became more comfortable knowing that it wasn’t some “trick” these SEOs perform but rather a technical set of principles when executed yielded top rankings. I began to shortlist candidates who I believe had what it took to get me in front of this hungry crowd of buyers. Finally, I found one whom I can trust and work with.
