Technically, animals want to use the bathroom outdoors. It is in their nature. When you have a house dog, you must train them as puppies to use the bathroom outside because they become accustomed to indoor living. Puppies do not have good bladder control that is why crate training puppys is an effective method for training them. It teaches them to control their bladder and they will learn to associate going to the bathroom with being outdoors more readily. Remember to be patient while potty training your puppy. Take him for walks several times a day while he is learning bladder control.
