How Utilty Poles are used in the Telegraph Industry

Utility poles are wooden poles used as power poles, telegraph poles or posts, telephone poles. They were first used in 1850s as a part of the telegraph system. They are used for supporting all the wires such as the optic cables, cable fibres, wires, etc., high above in the air. They even support the street lights and transformers. They are used to support electric power distribution lines and telecom cables and their accessories, too. Overhead routing of wires is a relatively inexpensive way to keep all the wires insulated from the ground and each other because of the air. These poles hold the high tension wires away from pedestrians and vehicles ensuring everyone’s safety.
